The location accuracy also seems to be off. I have tried to input my address in the places several times but it won't accept my street number, it keeps changing it. I put in a seven and it changes it to either a one or a nine. So I don't know how accurate would be if I actually needed to locate somebody. Haven't had any problems with the app until recently. Keeps telling me to check my connection when I try and set alerts in places. The price for the upgraded memberships is way too high in my opinion. I do like the app and all that it offers when I can afford to pay the high membership fees.
